Open/Close Menu SportMalta is the Government of Malta’s entity for the development and promotion of Sport in Malta.

Over 200 athletes aged between five and eighteen years took part in this event which was held at The National Sports School, Pembroke on Sat 21st and Sun 22nd April 2018.

Through this event, the Malta Karate Federation participated in the initiative Solidarjeta’ bl-Isports. Proceeds from this event will go towards Malta Community Chest Fund Foundation.

“Respect and inclusion are at the core of the Malta Karate Federation philosophy and we are pleased to practice these values through our sport. We also pride ourselves in seeing Nick Mercieca grow in the sport of Karate despite his physical limitations. His determination is exemplary.” This was the comment of Mr Kenneth Abela, President of Malta Karate Federation.

The event was inaugurated by Her Excellency Ms Coleiro Preca who also addressed the gathering in the opening ceremony.

Mr Abela concluded by thanking Maltese Olympic Committee as well as Sportmalta for their continued support.
