The Tony Bajada Memorial (TBM) has been organised on an annual basis during the Easter holidays since 2001. The tournament is dedicated to the late Tony Bajada, founder of Hamrun Spartans FC Youth Nursery in 1987.

The Tony Bajada Memorial is probably the most popular youth football festival organised by Hamrun football nursery in Malta. This festival is an annual fixture for the top Maltese football nurseries and is fully booked in a matter of a few days as local football nurseries recognise the excellent organisation and the good level of the festival. Throughout the years, the festival has also attracted the interest of a number of international teams.

A year ago, in 2017 TBM invited Frame Football Malta to join this prestigious football tournament to participate in a friendly game of inclusive football with the Hamrun football nursery. This turned out to be a success and it was an opportunity for Frame Football Malta players to create an awareness of this new form of football for young players using a frame for their mobility.

This year, after a week of football at Victor Tedesco Stadium, the Tournament will focus on an important event, the first of its kind where football will be played with a difference. Young football players from three local nurseries have been taking part in an Erasmus Project which started last year with the Youth FA and continued with Frame Footballers with the initiative of Hamrun Spartans FC Youth Nursery. Tony Bajada Memorial together with nurseries from Hamrun, Santa Venera, Mgarr and Frame Football Malta will participate in a Different Abilities Football Festival.

This event will be held on Sunday 15th April 2018 at Cottonera Sports Complex at 11.00am.

The event is being sponsored by Tony Bajada Memorial, Malta Football Players Association, TeamSport and SportMalta.
