Yesterday 3 Maltese players participated in the FISTF Grand Prix of England 2018. This Grand Prix was held in Heckmondwike, England.

 

The Maltese players had a great tournament and made a name for Malta with their good results.

Melvin Barun was the winner of the Under 19 Category. Barun won his final against the English player Thomas Price with the score of 7-2. In the semi-final he played against the Belgian player L. Pere and won 6-0,

In the Veteran category we had Jason Pisani who made it to the final. Unfortunately, he lost the final against the Belgian player Daniel Scheen with the score of 3-2. Pisani played his semi-final against the Scottish player Steve Bennet and won 1-0 with the ‘sudden death’

Massimo Cremona was semi-finalist in the Open Category. Cremona won the quarter final game against the Belgian player R. Pommier 4-1, but then lost his semi-final against the Austrian Alexander Haas with the score of 4-1. The same Alexander Haas won this Category.
