During the Greek FISTF Grand Prix that was held in Athens, the three Maltese players that took part had very good results and between them won the two major competitions.

In the Open category, both Massimo Cremona and Angelo Borg won their respective groups and advanced to the knockout phase. Angelo Borg won by four goals to one against Korologos but in the quarter final he had a difficult game against Nikos Pappas and the Greek won by two goals to nil. Massimo Cremona was playing really good and eliminated Alberto Di Maggio by two goals to one, in extra time, Dimitris Dimopolous by four goals to one after the penalty shoot-out and then he eliminated Giannis Vlassoupoulos by two goals to one in the semifinal. Cremona reached the final and had to play Spiros Chantzaras of Greece.

In a very balanced final, Cremona won the cup by two goals to one in extra time, thus winning the Greek Open Grand Prix.

Jason Pisani played in the Veteran category were he won all his group games. On his way to the final, Pisani eliminated Kastelanos by two goals to nil in the quarter final, won the semi-final match against Kostas Kechris by three goals to two and then beat Zavos in the final by two goals to one, to make a Maltese double.
