Open/Close Menu SportMalta is the Government of Malta’s entity for the development and promotion of Sport in Malta.

Ten Maltese shooters participated at the Nando Rossi Memorial in TAV Umbriaverde, Massa Martana Italy, an Event that attracted 340 Olympic Trap Shooters from around the World.

This was a two day competition, with the competitors shooting at 50 targets on Day 1 and another 50 targets on Day 2.

This year’s winner was Sandhu Zoravar Singh of India, while the Mixed Team Event was won by Team Italia, whereas nineteen year old, Cuomo Nino also of Italy managed four perfect straights for a total qualification score of 100/100 hit targets.

Stephen Vella topped the Maltese result list when he shot 94/100.

The FITAV President, and ISSF Vice President, Mr. Luciano Rossi M.P. spoke highly of the Maltese Team and passed on his good wishes to the Malta Shooting Sport Federation on the building of the new shooting complex that will host the ISSF World Cup, Shotgun between the 05 June and 15 June 2018.

On Tuesday 29 August a Maltese Team will be travelling to Moscow, Russia to compete at the ISSF World Championship, Shotgun.
