Tonight Noel Baldacchino became the first Maltese harness racing driver not only to compete but also win one of the races in the World Harness Drivers Championship.
After yesterday’s positive performance everything seemed to be going wrong as in the first 3 races of the day he could only manage 6th and twice 9th place. The pressure is now on all the drivers and this is clearly evident in the agressive manner each one of them is trying to get the maximum out of each race. In today’s last race Noel Baldacchino drove a perfect trip to score victory on the 16.3/1 horse Tidewater Tomahawk. The 18 points for this victory were enough to push him up one place to 5th in the general classification.
No racing tonight for the drivers as they rest prior to the final night. This time moving to Prince Edward Island for the last 4 races at the Red Shores Race Track and Casino.
