Nicky Carabott was the overall winner of the Blueline Cup organized by The Malta Shooting Sport Federation at Bidnija. This event was on 50 clays targets with the top six shooters to qualify for the finals stages.

 

The six Finalists and their qualification scores were; Stephen Vella 48/50, Nicky Carabott and Frank Scorfna both with 46/50, Paul Formosa 45/50, Stephen Aquilina 44/50 and Raymond Micallef 41/50.

The Finals results were;

1st Nicky Carabott 20/25 + 4/5 + 4/5 + 5/5 + 8/10, total score 41/50

2nd Frank Scorfna 20/25 + 4/5 + 5/5 + 3/5 + 7/10, total score 39/50

3rd Stephen Aquilina 20/25 + 4/5 + 4/5 + 3/5, total score 31/40

4th Stephen Vella 18/25 + 4/5 + 4/5, total score 26/35

5th Raymond Micallef 19/25 + 3/5, total score 22/30

6th Paul Formosa 18/25, total score 18/25

The top Shooters in their respective classes concluded their three qualification rounds with the following scores;

Class A

1st Stephen Vella 48/50

2nd Frank Scorfna 46/50

3rd Nicky Carabott 46/50

 

Class B

1st Stephen Aquilina 44/50

2nd Raymond Micallef 41/50

3rd Warren Sammut 40/50

 

Class C

1st Joe Cardona 38/50

2nd Mariah Busuttil 36/50

3rd Carmel Grech 36/50

 

 

Malta Shooting Sport Federation Double Trap, Trap and Skeet Athletes are currently competing at the European Championship – Shotgun Events in Baku Azerbaijan.
