Malta started off the debut in the Small Nations Cup with both teams on the podium in the Mixed Doubles Event. Each country had two teams in the event. Malta1, composed of Sue Abela and her son Justin Caruana Scicluna clinched gold, beating Cyprus in the finals. Malta’s second team made up of Sara Xuereb and Mauro Anastasi clinched the bronze medal to see both Maltese teams on the podium. The event continues with 3 other events including Doubles, Team event and Masters singles. The Small Nations Cup is open to all Nations that qualify for the GSSE games.
