Clive Farrugia was the overall winner of The Bonello Skeet Trophy This the first skeet event with the new ISSF 2017 regulations, which saw a change in the semi finals. After shooting two rounds of 25 clays each, the top six shooters qualify for an elimination round of 20 clays each, where the sixth place is eliminated. Another four elimination rounds of 10 clays each, determined the 5th, 4th, 3rd and 1st place. These new regulations seems to be more spectator friendly and are intended to attract more media viewership.
