Stephen Vella was the overall winner of The Marfel Trap Trophy organised by The Malta Shooting Sport Federation at The Bidnija shooting range this weekend. This event was on 125 clays trap, with the best six shooters to qualify for the semi finals and the medal match for another 15 clays each. A tight shot off after the semi finals determined the podium places.

 

Stephen Vella placed 1st with 108/125 – 13/15+6 – 12/15

Brian Galea placed 2nd with 110/125 – 13/15+6 -10/15

George Mifsud placed 3rd with 115/125 – 13/15+5 – 13/15

Nazzareno Attard placed 4th with 108/125 – 12/15+1 – 9/15

Eugenio Borg placed 5th with 110/125 – 12/15+9

Alvin Vella placed 6th with 110/125 – 11/15

George Mifsud was the only shooter that managed two consecutive straights of 25/25 on Saturday afternoon.
