Rachel Cuschieri and Apollon Ladies’ fate in the round of 32 announced

Earlier this afternoon, UEFA held the draws at its General Headquarters in Nyon of the UEFA Women’s Champions League round of 32, with one of the participants being Cypriot champions Apollon Ladies, with whom Maltese international Rachel Cuschieri pursues her professional football.

Apollon Ladies were drawn against Czech side Slavia Praha, whom last year were eliminated from the quarter-finals against eventual champions, Olympique Lyonnais from France.

The first leg is scheduled for the 5th or 6th of October, while the second will be played on the 12th or on the 13th of October. Apollon will be hosting Slavia Praha in the first leg, while they will travel to Czech Republic for the second leg.

Apollon Ladies already encountered a Czech side in this competition, back in the 2011/2012 season when they were eliminated by Slavia Praha’s rivals, Sparta Praha in the round of 32.
