Brian Galea wins the LTP Trophy at the Bidnija Ranges on Sunday, May 01, 2016, making it his sixth trophy of the year.

This Trap Event was on 50 targets, were the top six shooters overall competed on 15 targets from one shot in the semi-finals and eventually the top four athletes shot again on a further 15 targets, from a single shot in the Gold Medal Match and the Bronze Medal Match.

This Sunday’s overall results were;

Brian Galea placed 1st with 44/50 hit targets in the qualification rounds, 12/15 + 1 hit targets in the semi-final and another 12/15 hit targets in the Gold Medal Match.

Stephen Vella made a decent comeback after an absence of five weeks, he placed 2nd overall with 40/50 hit targets in the qualification rounds, 13/15 hits in the semi-final and 8/15 hit targets in the Gold Medal Match.

Paul Formosa placed 3nd with 41/50 hit targets in the qualification rounds, 11/15 hits in the semi-final and 10/15 hit targets in the Bronze Medal Match.

Emanuel Saliba placed 4th after he managed 41/50 in qualification, 12/15 + 0 hit targets in the semi-final and 8/15 hit targets in the Bronze Medal Match.

Alvin Vella and James Galea Jr. placed 5th and 6th respectively on count back rule with both hitting 10/15 targets in the semi-final. In the qualification rounds Galea Jr. managed 44/50 hits while Vella hit 43/50.

The top three shooters in their respective classes concluded their two qualification rounds of 25 targets per round with;

Class A

1st Brian Galea 44/50

2nd James Galea Jr. 44/50

3rd Alvin Vella 43/50

 

Class B

1st Emanuel Saliba 41/50

2nd Stephen Aquilina 38/50

3rd Stephen Casha 36/50

 

Class C

1st Manuel Cachia Simpson 36/50

2nd George Cassar 34/50

3rd Michael Galea 34/50
