National Team – Qualifier 7 & 8 All sixteen players in phase two now confirmed.

The last two tournaments scheduled from the first stage took place this week with four more players booking their place with the last sixteen and now the line-up is complete. In the seventh qualifier, Godfrey Abela and Martin Sacco saw of the challenge of Mario Tonna and Chris Cohen in the finals. Abela defeated Tonna 3-1 and Sacco edged out Cohen in a deciding leg to win 3-2. The eight and last qualifier saw losing finalist Chris Cohen and Joe Borg claiming the honours with Cohen winning 3-2 against Anthony Coreschi and Joe Borg winning with the same score line against Stefan Licari. The next stage will see sixteen players taking on each other in a round robin league format with the top eight moving on to the last stage. Matches are scheduled for the 28th, 29th and 30th March at Zejtun Domus.

 5 a-side Cup Competition Marsa St Michaels overturn 1st leg deficit

Marsa St Michaels first leg 3-2 defeat at the hands of Bormla Bocci Club A was overturned with a 4-1 win in the return leg. Marsa now face Birzebbugia Cox Sports Club A in the semi-final as they saw off the challenge of Hamrun Education Bar A in a deciding 1001 game as the score over the two legs was tied at 5-5. The other semi-final will be played between Kalkara St Joseph who completed a 10-0 whitewash over Floriana Ajax B and Floriana Ajax A who also comfortably won 8-2 against Zejtun Juventutis Domus. These matches will be played on 21st and 28th April.

4 a-side Cup Competition Kalkara St Joseph A and Mosta Horseshoe B drawn together

The draws for the quarter final stage of the 4 a-side competition paired up Kalkara St Joseph A and Mosta Horseshoe B, two teams who also faced each other in the 5 a-side cup earlier in the month. The remaining three matches are: Marsa St Michaels A (Div 1) v Zejtun Beland Bullseye (Div 2); Kalkara St Joseph B (Div 1) v Zejtun Juventutis Domus (Div 2) and Floriana Ajax A (Div 1) v Mosta Horseshoe Bar A (Div 2). Matches scheduled to take place on 21st March and the return leg on 4th April.
