In line with International Women’s Day celebrated on 8th March, Kunsill Malti għall-iSport (KMS) will be promoting women’s and girl’s well-being and engagement in sport. For this occasion KMS, on this day, is putting a varied programme which will include a selection of health and fitness activities from 5pm to 7pm. These sessions are being offered free of charge, and will take place at the Cottonera Sports Complex. Not just on this day, but throughout the week, KMS will be organising other activities directly with a number of girls secondary schools.
Accordingly, Kunsill Malti għall-iSport invites all women and girls, including grandmothers, mothers, and daughters to come and participate in our two hour programme. The programme will include Aerobics, Yoga or Oriental Fitness for adults, at 5pm; mummies with children can participate whilst their children can try out a session of Ballet, Yoga or Oriental Fitness. A mega Zumba event for adults and children, with Pedro and Maria, will then take place at 6pm.
Ballet - Roxanne Gauci - For children

So come and join us and let us celebrate in style on this special day.
Each year around the world, International Women's Day (IWD) is celebrated on March 8. Hundreds of events occur not just on this day but throughout March to mark the economic, political and social achievements of women. 2011 is the global centenary year for International Women’s Day – 100 years since the first International Women's Day event was run. More than one million women and men attended rallies in 1911.
