WHEELCHAIR DANCERS SUCCESS IN POLAND

Kunsill Malti għall-iSport is proud to assist Maltese couple Steven Fenech & Mandy Ghio in their Wheelchair DanceSport and congratulates the Wheelcahir DanceSport Association on the successes obtained so far. 

 Last week-end the current Maltese wheelchair dance champions took part in the Polish Open Wheelchair Dance Championships held in Warsaw, where they won the Ballroom Championship. This is the second Ballroom championship that they have won this year, having previously finished first in the International German Classic Wheelchair Dance Ballroom Championship held at the beginning of April.  Whilst in Poland, the couple also participated in the Polish Open Latin American Championship and were placed 3^rd. Polish, Russian and German dancers also participated in the championships, making it a very challenging competition.

 Later this month, the couple will be travelling to Manchester, UK where they will participate in the first major championships in wheelchair dancing to be held in England. With the results that Steve and Mandy are obtaining it is hoped that the couple will be able to compete in all the major competitions being held in the latter part of 2011.
