During a presentation ceremony that took place at the KMS Cottonera Sports Complex, Prize Money and subsidies where given out to all Regatta Clubs that participated in the March 2011 Regatta. This was also a setting that served to discuss the upcoming under 18 Regatta that will be returning after an absence of 2 years, and also started preliminary discussions for the September Regatta.

During her introductory comments, KMS Director responsible for Regatta, Margaret Mercieca stated that KMS was satisfied with the outcome of last March’s Regatta, and stated that the Clubs, the National Federation and KMS are happy with the way the Regatta has proceeded over the past two years. Mercieca said that one should also keep his feet firmly on the ground with the understanding that there is always room for improvement. Mercieca also hoped that the money being given out, that sums up to a total of €14,000, would help all teams invest in their equipment with the result being that each and every regatta will become more interesting than the one before it.

During an open floor session, Regatta teams that were present showed their appreciation towards KMS for the role it plays in the organisation of the Regatta, with some times even coming up with ideas on how to improve the existing structure.
