This coming Sunday, 1st August, a bike ride is being organised in memory of Clifford James Micallef on the first anniversary of his demise (1964-2009) by the Kunsill Malti għall-iSport (KMS) in collaboration with the Malta Cycling Federation (MCF). Cliff’s memorial bike ride will start at 9.30am and will start from and finish at Ex Parade Ground, Pembroke' (Luxol Car Park).

KMS Bike Ride for all - Monday, May 17, 2010

Foundation in Coaching 2010 - Friday, February 19, 2010
On Tuesday 9th February, the Institute for Physical Education and Sport in Collaboration with Kunsill Malti Ghall Isport launched for the 6th time the Foundations in Coaching Course. This one semester course starting in February till June is a course which targets all those interested in coaching young athletes and working in the sport coaching sectors. The course focuses on the pedagogy of Coaching and sports science. A good number of applicants have once again enrolled in this course. During this presentation, Mr. Bernard Vassallo, Chairperson of Kunsill Malti Ghall Isport addressed the applicants. Mr. Andrew Decelis, director of IPES and Mr. Ivan Riolo, course coordinator, provided details re courses offered and the programme of study to be followed. A reception for all applicants and lecturers brought this occasion to an end.

Kunsill Malt għall-iSport will be holding a programme for students between 12 and 14years who are considering to take the PE Option as a subject. The course, which is in Level 1 will be held at the Cottonera Sports Complex. Transport will be organized from the Tal-Qroqq Sports Complex for students who live in the North. The programme will be held 3 times a week and will include both theory and practice, including some adventure sports as well.

I would like to thank you for organising last Saturday's activity which was very well planned and organised . I appreciate every effort that was made for the children's benefit,especially for the security guards at the Barraka, the animator of the knight Alejandro who managed to teach our young son some history and the visit to Kastilja itself .
